The 5 Excel files below allow you to view trends in inbound tourism since 1993 across a range of trip characteristics and demographic variables.  View trends at an overall level, or split by market.  Absolute figures, percentages, and charts are all available.

This Excel file contains four worksheets, each in the form of a pivot-table.  The first covers annual data (for visits, nights and spend) by; country of residence, mode of travel, purpose of visits, duration of stay and three-month period (worksheet two allows you to view the same data in percentage terms).  The third worksheet includes information for nations and London.   Annual data (for visits, nights and spend) are shown for; country of residence, purpose of visit and three-month period (worksheet four allows you to view the same data in percentage terms).

Detailed Demographic Trend Data 2000-2007

This Excel file contains two worksheets, each in the form of a pivot table.  It allows you to analyse annual data (for visits, nights, and spend) by age, gender, nationality, purpose of visit, and country of residence.  The second sheet allows you to view percentage figures as opposed to absolute values to easily spot trends in the data.
