Training and Development
When you start work here you will be briefed on everything you need to know as part of our welcome programme. The training and development opportunities are available from the outset with a wide variety of courses on offer. We can help our people develop their skills in anything from time management and presentations to assertiveness and management development. We also provide access to various mentoring and coaching opportunities, and support for those who are keen to acquire specific professional qualifications in subjects such as finance, marketing and business. One of our successful initiatives is the Performance Management System. This gives individuals the opportunity to have regular one-to-ones with their managers to review competencies, set personal objectives and agree on personal training and development plans. We are an Investors in People organisation in recognition of our continuous commitment to train and develop our staff.

Flexible Working Practices VisitBritain (in the UK) has moved away from the traditional 9am to 5pm in favour of more flexible working hours. Our working at home policy has given many the option of working at home when appropriate and in some offices, flexi-time and job share schemes are in operation. |
