EnglandNet is a national distribution system for marketing Britain’s tourism providers.  It provides tourism product information to our websites www.enjoyengland.com and www.visitbritain.com.  It is not a consumer facing website itself.

EnglandNet was originally developed to enable a ‘one-stop-shop’ for the marketing of tourism in England, in response to our customers who increasingly want to search and book online, and to ensure that we can match what is offered by our overseas competitors. 

• EnglandNet improves the quality of information available to potential customers. It makes it far easier for consumers to find and book Britain’s rich variety of tourism products. This year 15million people will visit one of over forty www.visitbritain.com sites, while 4 million people will look at one of the five www.enjoyengland.com websites.
• It provides smaller businesses in the tourism industry with easy and cost effective access to a range of services, provided through a consolidator, including allowing their products to be updated, distributed, checked for pricing and availability, booked and paid for.
• It is open to all of Britain’s tourism providers and product consolidators (both public and private sector) that offer quality assessed product. It has a public service obligation to ensure it is of benefit to all tourism providers and in particular to small and medium enterprises – the backbone of the UK tourism sector. It is an open marketplace – think of it as being like a High Street with various shops for customers to visit.
